Blood Moon was Moon Hare's older sister - the two were born over 10 years appart and were never very close. They were both born in a healer family - but as soon as her sphiris settled shape, Blood Moon became a warrior, and soon after that she married a male fellow warrior named Soul Fang. The two had a child named Forest Fang not long after their wedding, and he became a great friend of Drakon - the heir to the throne of the Tribe.
The year that Forest Fang was merely 14, when the Tribe traveled to the Origin Shore, the Great Priestess was offered a terryfying prophecy. It spoke about how a female Moon heir would wield a blade against the Great Priestess Yantarka. That could not be allowed!
Out of the two heirs of the Moon family, it was Blood Moon who was a warrior. So it was declared that the prophecy must be about her - and so she was condemned to die, along with her close family: her husband and son. But they were not stupid, so they managed to stange an escape for their son - who ran away in the woods.
Their execution came to pass and the village let their guard down - untill the day came that Moon Hare raised the Rabbit Prophecy against the Great Priestess - and almost succedded in ending her.
Following those events, the entire family was condemned to die. Moon Hare and Lapin were the first to be publicly executed, then Lapin's mother was shot with poisoned arrows as she tried to get away.
Nobody remembered the egg the two were supposed to have - nobody questioned where it went. Surely it wouldn't survive without their parents anyway... an egg needed close blood to survie... surely no female Moon heir was left out there to put the Priestess' life in danger again...
