EVE-564: Dust Crimson

Prisoners during Umbra's reign were treated very poorly. Those were grifix that commited crimes against the King, but those crimes were often just speaking up against him. Their feet would be chained up, sometimes their feathers were plucked out as a way to mark them as criminals. Sometimes if a grifix said something against the king, their whole family would have to pay for the crime. It depended on different things, such as weather the family stood by their side or how bad the crime was. Often those grifix would even be condemned to die.

 

Dust was born into the prisons. Their parents had spoken out against the king and were condemned to die, they were kept alive until their egg hatched. Soon after they hatched the parents were killed and their torture began as to slowly pay off the 'debt' of the parents. The feathers of their wings were slowly pulled out each day until barely any were left and they were considered flightless. Their sphirix eventually faded away because of the repeated trauma and the effects of the lotion to stop their magic flow, and was replaced by a wandering spirit. The spirit understood her suffering and is the only comforting presence in their life. It will sing them a song that it still remembers from its past to soothe the pain Dust is in after having been tortured. Dust is completely mute, they never learned how to speak and will either growl when angry or distressed or whine to communicate.
