Trait Categories
Some trait categories have some star symbols, which are there in order to make trait picking easier for you.
✦ = required category for common grifix. If your character is a common grifix, they surely have a trait from categories marked with this symbol.
✧ = required category for divided grifix. If your character is a divided grifix, they surely have a trait from categories marked with this symbol.
✶ = required category for trifix. If your character is a trifix, they surely have a trait from categories marked with this symbol.
Sphirix Shape ✦✧✶
Warning: Grifix of the trifix subspecies may only have carnivorous animals as their sphirix
Fang Alterations
Illustrated on a yawning grifix by kazoowary for better visualization:
Normal fangs does not exist as a trait, it is just here for comparison. if your grifix has normal fangs you don't have to select a trait.
Freckle Condition
These can be applied on any freckle shape, pattern or placement
Additional Gems
The gems can be any shape, however generally you can't make em bigger than the main tear gems of the grifix
Magic Gem Flow
This does NOT refer to the chest gems. It only refers to Magic Gems, which are the ones on the forehead, butt or tail.
Orb Shape
Imperfect Polyhedra image is NOT indicative of all the options. Those are just a few examples.
On request, I will provide images withn any polyhedron you might want to use. Just give me the name of the solid (preferred) or an image (not guaranteed I will be able to do it if I don't know the name but I will try still).
Easiest for me is if you send me one that can be found in this wikipedia page. I can certainly do any of the polyhedra shown in there! If you wanna look through it, know that there's more in the subcategories, so check those out as well.
CREDITS: All of the orb images provided in here or in orb styles have been rendered using the 3D models provided on the Category:STL polyhedra Wikipedia Page
About the Magic Arteries Corrosion disease:
This can cause the orb to corrode and alter it's shape. That can lead to truncated variants of the original shape or other results that can be similar to the Imperfect Polyhedra options.
If you want to create a character with this trait:
- Do you have a set original orb shape in mind? I can give you suggestions about how it would look when corroded by the disease.
- Do you have a set shape in mind for how it looks after it's been corroded by the disease? I can tell you what the original shape would be based on that.
Always ask me on Discord at MysteriousShine if you want to design a character that suffers from this and I will help you figure it out.
When selecting the trait for a character suffering from this disease always select the original shape of the orb. there is no trait for the corroded orbs.
Light Beans Lightshadow
This trait itself is legendary. Using any of these traits will count as an additional legendary trait.
Whiskers
Because of their cat parts, ALL grifix have thin, almost invisible whiskers. Some, however, have much more visible whiskers, which is what the "vibrisae" trait is for. Others, due to the influence of their sphirix shape and genetics, may have whiskers similar to fish or other animals.
Whiskers Placement
Because of their cat parts, ALL grifix have thin, almost invisible whiskers. All grifix have those on the face, but unless you have one of the Whiskers traits you don't have to select any of the placement options.
Wing Extensions
The middle row applies to both "Top Remiges Extension" and "Bottom Remiges Extension". Does NOT apply to "Top Feather Extension".
If your grifix has one of "Top Remiges Extension" of "Bottom Remiges Extension" you MUST select one of the middle row options as well.
Strange Conditions
weird occurences on the grifix's body or sphirix
