- the house just consumes real grifix and then spawns a yokai entity to replace them
- if an entity disposes of someone it's because of the house's influence on their mind so they don't remember
- the house doesn't want anyone to find out, so the entities have no memory/knowledge of this
- if grifix were to find out, they would stop coming to the house and it would starve, so they must not know
- the house has very strict control over what goes on inside itself
- it is smart enough to try and "reinvent itself" if it gets desperate enough
